s chairman of the Solid Light Ad-Hoc Committee,
I have been asked by President General Lindsey C.
Brock to put into words a concept of what the SAR
education outreach program could be. I have also attempted
to describe some compelling arguments for its existence. It
is my hope that the concepts presented here will serve as
inspiration for our planning process as we further defne our
educational outreach mission and capabilities.
The aim of patriotic education is to publicly
acknowledge, preserve, promote and extend to others the
historical prominence and values of individual liberty as
guaranteed and preserved by our Founding Fathers through
the establishment of a constitutional republic. Individual
