Trowels were used to place soil gathered from many famed sites of the American Revolution at its base. The tree will be planted at the museum site in 2016. Among the groups represented were the SAR (Lanny Patten), the DAR, Pennsylvania Society of Sons of the Revolution, Independence National Historic Park and the Society of Cincinnati. Museum President Michael Quinn is pictured at the podium.
