EMPIRE STATE (NEW YORK) SOCIETY The Rochester Chapter ESSSAR held its annual Christmas party Dec. 19, 2012, at the Lehigh Restaurant with some 40 members and guests attending. The chapter used the opportunity to collect a wide range of gifts for the residents of the nearby Batavia, N.Y. Veterans Affairs Hospital, an annual project, and to recognize the work of some chapter friends and members. Fifty-year chapter member Dana Johnson was presented with the Member Emeritus Certificate from National Headquarters and new Compatriot Tommy Thompson was presented with the Law Enforcement Commendation Medal and Certificate for 36 years of distinguished service as a New York corrections officer. Other members were presented with NEW HAMPSHIRE SOCIETY membership longevity certificates and pins.
